The resort The Delta Dunes Lodge is located in Kenya, Garissa. It rises on the estuary of the Tana River, an area of 50,000 hectares positioned next to 2 local tribal communities: the Orma and the Pokomono. The Tana River is the largest river in Kenya and in its 1,000 km journey of branches in a multitude of channels and streams through dense forest with fig trees and palms. It is an oasis of tranquility for river trips and explorations in the bush, 20 kilometers of beach endless uninhabited front of the resort The Delta Dunes Lodge, majestic dunes that creep in with waves crashing in the eye. The structure is surrounded by the river, the beach and the bush. There are wild animals in the river, in the forest and on the dunes so if you want to take a walk with a guide it should be, except on the beach which is absolutely secure. The staff is available to assist any business and in the evening _ there are 2 "askaris" night watchmen available to escort guests around. The property is developed on 2 levels. At the lowest level for the guests, a small but very pretty boutique, a reception, a massage center, while in an elevated position, on top of sand dunes, restaurant, bar, lounge under a pergola with an outdoor fabulous view to 360 degrees. Also available are kayaks, 2 sand Yatchs , 3 motor boats, surf boards on the water and on sand dunes. You can take safaris at sunrise meeting with buffalo, elephant, bird watching, hiking on the dunes, nature trails and botanical within the resort.
